Jakarta, Kemendikbud — Kementerian Pendidikan dan Kebudayaan (Kemendikbud) melalui Pusat Penguatan Karakter (PPK) selenggarakan lomba menulis surat untuk Menteri Pendidikan dan Kebudayaan (Mendikbud), Nadiem Anwar Makarim di masa pandemic Coronavirus Disease 2019 (Covid-19). Dari ribuan surat yang masuk, Kemendikbud telah memilih lima surat paling mengispirasi yaitu dua surat yang dikirim guru dan tiga surat dari siswa.
Surat tersebut akan dibacakan langsung oleh Mendikbud, sekaligus penulisnya akan berbincang dengan Mendikbud. Para insan pendidikan dapat menyaksikan perbincangan ini melalui TVRI dan kanal Youtube KEMENDIKBUD RI pada Selasa, 26 Mei 2020, pukul 10.00 WIB.
Kepala Pusat Penguatan Karakter, Hendarman memberikan apresiasi kepada para guru dan siswa yang turut berpartisipasi pada kegiatan ini di tengah keterbatasan pandemi Covid-19. “Terima kasih bagi para guru dan siswa yang sudah berpartisipasi dalam acara ini, dan kami mengapresiasi berbagai kegiatan dan inisiatif yang sudah dilakukan atas dasar apa yang dapat dilakukan di tempat masing-masing”, demikian disampaikan Hendarman melalui sambungan telepon, di Jakarta, pada Jumat (22/05).
Surat paling inspiratif kategori guru ditulis oleh Santi Kusuma Dewi dari SMP Islam Baitul Izzah, Kabupaten Nganjuk, Jawa Timur dan Maria Yosephina Morukh dari SD Kristen Kaenbaun, Kabupaten Timor Tengah Utara, Nusa Tenggara Timur. Sedangkan surat paling inspiratif dari siswa ditulis oleh Rivaldi R. Yampata, siswa SD 016 Tanjung Redeb, Kabupaten Berau, Kalimantan Timur, Atrice G. Napitupulu, siswa SD YPPK Gembala Baik, Jayapura, Papua serta Alfiatus Sholehah, siswa SDN Pademawu Barat 1, Kabupaten Pamekasan, Jawa Timur.
Kelima surat paling inspiratif tersebut diambil berdasarkan penilaian dari tim penilai yang terdiri dari perwakilan unit utama di bawah Kemendikbud yaitu Badan Bahasa, Direktorat Jenderal Guru dan Tenaga Kependidikan, Pusat Penguatan Karakter serta Satuan Tugas Gerakan Literasi Sekolah. Aspek yang menjadi penilaian panitia terdiri dari kesesuaian dengan tema, bahasa, kreatifitas serta mengandung unsur penguatan karakter gotong royong, dan toleransi.
Kegiatan dengan tema “Hikmah Hari Kemenangan di Masa Pandemi, Surat untuk Mas Menteri Nadiem Makarim” diselenggarakan pada 11 s.d. 17 Mei 2020. Sebanyak 3.495 surat yang masuk melalui surat elektronik cerdasberkarakter@kemdikbud.go.id dikirim oleh 2.884 guru dan 611 siswa. Sedangkan surat yang dikirim melalui whatsapp sebanyak 3.194 surat yang terdiri dari 633 dari guru dan 2.561 surat dikirim oleh siswa. (Dina Ayu M)
