Bandar Lampung, Gatra.com – Kementerian Pendidikan dan Kebudayaan (Kemendikbud) menargetkan sekitar 5.000 Sekolah Menengah Kejuruan (SMK) akan direvitalisasi hingga 2024 mendatang. Langkah ini demi mendorong pengembangan sumber daya manusia di bidang vokasi dan SMK yang menjadi arahan dari Presiden Joko Widodo.
Hal tersebut disampaikan oleh Sekretaris Jenderal (Sekjen) Kemendikbud, Didik Suhardi saat hadir dalam peresmian Revitalisasi SMK 3 Muhammadiyah Metro, Lampung. Kelak,poin utama yang akan menjadi fokus dari revitalisasi SMK di bidang pembelajarannya. Bukan hanya itu, di bidang fasilitas dan sarana prasarana guna menunjang pembelajaran di SMK juga akan menjadi fokus revitalisasi.
“Untuk 2024 sendiri kita targetkan sekitar 5.000 SMK yang direvitalisasi. Insyaallah sudah kita petakan, sudah kita hitung kebutuhannya, sekolah-sekolahnya ada di mana, itu kita sudah mapping. Ke depan kita akan lakukan itu [revitalisasi SMK] secara konsisten,” ungkap Didik saat ditemui di SMK 3 Muhammadiyah Bandar Lampung, Senin (16/9).
Pada 2020 nanti, Kemendikbud akan merevitalisasi sekitar 1.000 lebih SMK. Untuk anggaran, Didik mengakui bahwa setiap daerah punya perhitungan sendiri. Hal tersebut didorong oleh kebutuhan tiap sekolah yang berbeda-beda. Sehingga harus disesuaikan dengan kebutuhan masing-masing sekolah.
Dia mengharapkan bukan hanya dari pemerintah pusat, namun pemerintah daerah juga ikut berkontribusi dalam program revitalisasi SMK ini. Utamanya untuk SMK swasta. Kolaborasi penting agar program ini berjalan dengan baik.
“Beberapa daerah sudah berjalan dan bagus ya. Terutama untuk sekolah swasta, tidak hanya menerima bantuan tapi juga kontribusi. Ke depannya kita harap ini bisa menjadi model yang bisa dikembangkan, bahwasanya pendidikan itu bukan hanya tugas pemerintah pusat, tapi juga daerah dan masyarakat,” paparnya.
