Kunjungan ke Bengkulu, Presiden Joko Widodo Kenakan Baju Karya Siswa SMKN 4 Jambi

Bengkulu, Ditjen Vokasi – Sekolah menengah kejuruan (SMK) terus mendapatkan perhatian dari Presiden Joko Widodo. Setelah beberapa waktu lalu mengunjungi sejumlah SMK di Labuhanbatu dan Kota Jambi, kali ini Presiden Joko Widodo kembali menyempatkan diri untuk mengunjungi SMKN 2 Bengkulu Tengah di sela-sela kunjungannya ke Provinsi Bengkulu.


Dalam kunjungannya ke SMK kali ini, Presiden Joko Widodo diketahui mengenakan baju karya siswi SMKN 4 Kota Jambi. Baju kemeja lengan panjang berwarna putih tersebut dipesan langsung oleh Presiden Joko Widodo saat mengunjungi SMKN 4 Kota Jambi beberapa waktu lalu. 


Baju karya siswa Jurusan Tata Busana ini bahkan sempat dipamerkan oleh orang nomor satu di Indonesia tersebut saat memberikan keterangan pers kepada awak media usai kunjungan di SMKN 2 Bengkulu Tengah. 


“Dan supaya tahu saja, baju yang saya pakai ini juga produksi SMKN 4 Jambi. Saya pesan dua bulan yang lalu. Baru jadi langsung saya pakai. Bagus kan bajunya,” kata Presiden Joko Widodo sebagaimana dikutip dari Youtube Sekretariat Kepresidenan RI. 


Dibuat Empat Siswa 


Kemeja putih yang dikenakan Presiden Joko Widodo dalam kunjungan ke SMKN 2 Bengkulu Tengah tersebut merupakan salah satu dari empat baju hasil karya dari empat siswi SMKN 4 Kota Jambi. Keempat siswa tersebut adalah Zaqia Cahayacamila, Sunia Ariska, Zea Abadiah, dan Ayu Wulandari. Mereka merupakan siswa kelas 12 Jurusan Tata Busana.


“Senang bisa membuat baju untuk presiden. Apalagi bajunya sampai digunakan dan dikatakan bagus oleh Pak Presiden,” kata Zaqia Cahayacamila. 

Proses pembuatan baju untuk presiden ini dilakukan secara bersama-sama oleh para siswa di bawah bimbingan guru di sekolah. Proses pengerjaan baju-baju tersebut juga tidak memakan waktu lama. 


“Mungkin sekitar satu bulanan prosesnya mulai dari mencari bahan, membuat pola, sampai menjahit. Semua dikerjakan bersama-sama,” Zaqia menambahkan.


Secara keseluruhan para siswa tersebut membuat empat potong baju untuk presiden dan Ibu Negara, Iriana Joko Widodo. Selain baju kemeja putih yang identik dengan Joko Widodo, siswa juga membuat kemeja batik dengan motif Kapal Sanggat khas Jambi. Sementara untuk Ibu Negara, para siswa membuatkan atasan berupa outer berbahan batik dengan motif yang sama.  


“Kami pilihkan outer agar lebih mudah dalam padu padan dengan beberapa busana lainnya dan bisa digunakan untuk acara formal maupun nonformal,” ujar Sunia yang nampak sudah begitu fasih dan kompeten untuk urusan tata busana. 


Sementara itu, Kepala SMKN 4 Kota Jambi, Asmiati, mengaku sangat senang baju yang dibuat oleh para siswanya tersebut sudah digunakan oleh Presiden Joko Widodo. 


“Kami merasa sangat bangga dan ini menjadi motivasi bagi kami untuk bisa lebih  baik lagi,” kata Asmiati.


Menurut Asmiati, dengan dikenakannya baju karya siswa oleh Presiden Joko Widodo tersebut menunjukkan bahwa kompetensi para siswanya sudah teruji dalam membuat busana. 


“Kami jadi lebih percaya diri lagi,” Asmiati menambahkan.


Sebagaimana diberitakan sebelumnya, Presiden Joko Widodo sempat memesan baju kepada siswa SMKN 4 Kota Jambi saat berkunjung ke sekolah tersebut pada 16 Mei 2023 lalu. Saat itu, Presiden Joko Widodo meminta dibuatkan baju untuk dirinya sendiri dan juga untuk Ibu Negara. Proses pengukuran baju bahkan dilakukan secara langsung di ruang praktik siswa Jurusan Tata Busana oleh para siswa. Setelah rampung, baju-baju tersebut kemudian diambil langsung oleh Pasukan Pengawal Presiden (Paspampres) di sekolah. (Nan/Cecep)
